high-resolution construction site cameras for your projects worldwide

Built for years. Designed for decades.

When it comes to professional long-term recording, image quality is the decisive factor above all. With a resolution of up to 100 megapixels, high-quality optics and a high dynamic range, our camera systems capture even challenging light, shadow and night-time situations in rich detail and with great differentiation. The result is imagery that goes far beyond impressive construction site time-lapses for marketing and communication: the high-resolution visual material also serves project control, transparent construction documentation and acts as a long-term image archive – even many years after project completion. To ensure this quality remains consistently high over months and years, a reliable power supply, data connection, weather protection, remote access, monitoring and an end-to-end data chain are all part of our complete system.

Frequently asked questions about construction site cameras.

What distinguishes a professional construction camera from a normal webcam or IP camera?

A classic webcam or IP camera is primarily designed for live monitoring or basic video transmission. The image resolution, image and colour depth, lenses used, long-term stability and options for subsequent professional processing are correspondingly limited.

Our construction site cameras take a different approach. They produce high-resolution single images with up to 100 megapixels, which are also suitable for demanding time-lapse productions, presentations, documentation and marketing materials. At the same time, the systems are designed for operations lasting several months or years and are continuously monitored.

The fundamental difference therefore lies not only in the camera itself, but in the entire system of recording quality, data transmission, monitoring, archiving, support and professional post-production.

For which projects are time-lapse construction cameras suitable?

Our systems are suitable for almost all construction and infrastructure projects where progress needs to be documented over an extended period. Typical applications include building construction, civil engineering, industrial projects, infrastructure measures, renovations, plant engineering, logistics projects, energy projects or large-scale real estate developments. Appropriate camera systems are also available for projects with particularly high demands regarding image quality, documentation or subsequent film production.

Where can a site camera be mounted?

Depending on the project, the camera can be mounted, for example, on buildings, roofs, masts, scaffolding, containers, or specially designed structures. Custom solutions can also be implemented for locations without suitable existing mounting options. The decisive factor is always ensuring an unobstructed view of the project for as long as possible.

Who is going to install the camera?

Assembly and commissioning are carried out by the Fast Motion team. This enables us to ensure that the camera position, image framing, mounting, power supply and data transmission are optimally coordinated for the respective project. Following the end of the project, we also handle the professional dismantling.

Are the recordings GDPR-compliant?

Yes, provided the respective project is planned and implemented accordingly. The data protection requirements depend, amongst other things, on the camera position, recording area, usage and access permissions.

Fast Motion can configure systems so that, for example, sensitive areas are taken into account or individuals or areas are anonymised as required.

Can the camera be moved or realigned during the project?

Yes. Particularly in long-term construction projects, sightlines and project areas frequently change. If necessary, camera positions, orientation or settings can be adjusted. Such changes are coordinated as the project progresses.

What happens after the completion of the construction project?

Following the end of the project, the camera system will be dismantled. The recorded data can then be used for archiving, documentation or the creation of a final time-lapse film. Upon request, we can handle the complete post-production, including editing, colour grading, music, graphics and other media content. Due to its high image quality and processing, our footage is also optimally suited for TV or cinema.
