The project
IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof – from the Blue House to the new hus in the heart of Vienna
Right by Vienna's Westbahnhof, where the „Blue House“ once stood, the new, innovative IKEA furniture store has been built – a seven-storey building with a unique city-store concept.
Fast Motion accompanied the construction of the new IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof over a period of 26 months using four high-resolution 6K time-lapse cameras. In addition, construction progress was documented from the air using multiple drone systems.
The combination of stationary long-term time-lapse systems, drone footage and professional post-production enabled comprehensive visual documentation of the development from the demolition of the existing building to the completion of the new city store.
